India has a vast and growing pharmaceutical industry which has shown remarkable sustains on the face of recent global economic recession.
Increasing number of hospitals, both in government as well as private sector, and nursing homes require hospital pharmacists for dispensing medicines to the patients and advise and inform doctors, nurses and other health care staff regarding the medication.
Also students can find positions as Drug Inspectors, Drug Controllers in Government Sector.
Further they can start their own business, such as retail medicine shop, wholesale business or pharmaceutical industry.
The job avenues for a diploma pharmacist are open in public and private sector like Bata. They are mostly absorbed by government hospitals and health care departments. Besides, they have ample avenues in private clinics and nursing homes like Apollo, Bellevue Clinic, etc.
